It is in stillness that our love speaks to our heart.
A relationship renewed even as the start.
In communion and fellowship, we rest together.
A love affair grounded, stable, no matter the weather.
Stillness, a serene, tranquil, and quiet place.
A fragrance of mercy, love, and grace.
Face to face, breast to breast,
Conversations and decisions made for the best.
What an awesome place, this place of stillness,
Food for your spirit, soul, and body; a total healing.

Light Up the Night
"Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle , and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven (Matthew 5:16)." "For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord; walk as children of light (Ephesians 5:8)."
I remember the dark age, my life before I received Jesus as my personal Savior. Things were pretty bleak and dim. There seemed to never be enough of what I needed not to mention no such thing as what I wanted. I could have the what I wants but always at the sacrifice of the what I needed. Not enough hours in the day to complete tasks never accomplished, a flurry of motion with no productivity. You know what I mean. An entire day of here, there and everywhere with nothing to show for it in the end. A daily list made still full of action items to complete. The feeling of emptiness even after indulging in time fillers (the club, hanging with fair weather friends, dating, work, television and music). It's good to remember these days and there emptiness as it causes me to be appreciative of what I have in the light today.
The light age has been a tremendously wonderful journey. The removal of unimportant things replaced with life changing productive ones. No longer empty but overflowing. If I were told in the dark age of my life that I would be where and what I am today I would not have believed it. If asked to trade what I knew then for what I know now, I would gladly initiate the trade. I realize what I called living wasn't living at all but existing. It's fair to say that even though this journey has been a wonderful one it hasn't been one free from hardship. But the hardships that come now are not worthy to be compared to the hardships of old. The peace in knowing that God is always here and hears as well as answer my prayers, even though He was with me then, has a supernatural calming effect in the midst of every hardship.
It's pretty amazing considering the past and present time and being asked to serve as light in some of the same dark places I once was. Chosen to take the light to a dark world I was once actively a part of. As love and compassion fuel my efforts, I am well aware grace and mercy were extended to me.
This is a call to action. You were commanded to be the light. God called you to light up the night!!!!
Living Above the Radar
Did you know there is a place that you can go where your movement is not detected? There is an altitude in space were there is no radar detection. Radar is the mechanism in which objects are detected and monitored in space and air. Air traffic controllers use radar as a method of directing traffic in the air where we have traffic lights to regulate traffic on the streets. As I was driving the other day, I heard "over the radar". I inquired of the Lord what was the meaning of this and the reply was "live above the radar". Now I know most of you are familar with this but have heard it like this: "He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most high shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.", Psalms 91:1 or "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk and not faint.", Isaiah 40:31.
Now more than ever with the promises of God being made manifest it is important that we "live above the radar". I have had many experiences of having a dream of God being stirred in my life only for it to be hindered by the thoughts and actions of another. Most often, it was because I shared prematurely what God was doing or was about to do in my life. Just because God filled me in on what was about to take place didn't mean that I was given permission to share it just yet with others. It reminds me of another dreamer, Joseph, who prematurely shared his dream and was immediately opposed.
Satan is always looking for opportunites to stick up his ugly head and lend a helping hand. Being a spirit, he is keenly aware of spiritual activity. Being alerted to movement in the spirit puts him on alert for physical manifestation. He doesn't know what God is doing or will do, but we make it easier for him by revealing God's plan. He immediately strategizes, implement plans and set up roadblocks of delay. We know that God is all powerful and His plan will not be defeated or denied! Praise God for Jesus!!!! However, the process can be prolonged unnecessarily. I truly believe that there are some things that God wants to manifest without opposition. Just because we have become accustomed to it doesn't mean that God can't just say it and it is.
Just as Satan is keenly aware of spirtual activity, as you walk in relationship with God, He will make you sensitive to spiritual activity and His movement. He will call you aside in a quiet place to reveal Himself to you in a greater way and His plan and purpose for your life. Sometimes it is the big picture then the "step by step" walking it out or just the opposite, "step by step" then the big picture. Before manifestation, there is a time of quiet reflection, cleansing, instructions and the follow through of instructions given. When done as instructed, there is always manifestation of that He promised.
In this month of self and God-driven evaluation, ask God to help you no matter how excited to sit still in the place of "quiet", only share those things He release you to share to encourage and motivate and to embrace the promise no matter how contrary it is to what you expected or thought you knew.

Time

Have you ever noticed the swiftness of time?
Time had and lost because of idleness of mind.
The uncertainty of purpose or even a plan,
Wishing you had, could have, or had the chance to do again.
Wondering at the close or lateness of day,
What did you accomplish, give or say.
To encourage, uplift, direct or inspire,
An answer to someone who might have inquired.
Remember that time is a valuable tool,
To waste this resource you’d be a fool.
Use it wisely and it will be your friend,
As today will never be again.

A Promising New Year
We start out every year with the right mind set and determination but somewhere in the course of the year it fades. We loose sight of the promises and goals we have set and sometimes excuse ourselves by saying they were to ambitious from the start. I said this year I would not make new promises or goals as I had not accomplished those from last year.
We have a saying in church that the race is not given to the swift, neither to the strong but to those that endure unto the end. Most often we start off strong but loose the faith, hope and determination we need to make it to completion. There are a few things that God through the Holy Spirit has made me aware about myself. I have need of patience, followup, follow through and consistency. I have found that it is not just me that struggle with these principle elements of success but most of us. See we live in a microwave kind of generation and believe that instant gratification is the norm and a must. But how many of you know that the Christian walk is just the opposite of the world prospective and most things in God take time and faithfulness on our part. Now I bless God for Jesus and His knowing our frailties and shortcomings and not holding them against us. He continues to remain faithful to us no matter what.
Ask God to assist you in completing those things that you have not completed and show you your weak areas as we all have them. Take those weakness to Him in prayer and watch Him make them strengths. There is so much to and will be accomplished this year. He calls us to assist Him in His work. There are many promises He has spoken in and over our lives and He will hasten His word to perform them. And perform them He will!!!!
